General site clearance pre-bird nesting season. On this site the clearance was followed up with bare earth treatment to reduce the vigour of areas of Field Horse Tail and minimise the amount of vegetation regrowth whilst survey works were undertaken, final site purchase was completed and construction works began.
Field Horse Tail treatment. Areas of site that were heavily infested with Filed horse tail were treated to reduce the vigour of the plant prior to demolition and remediation works. Early identification also allowed for areas to be plotted on the site plan and actions to be implemented as part of the earth works package.
General weed control to a noise reduction bund along the boundary of a development. Treatment of other weeds such as ragwort were also included prior to the bund being landscaped.
Construction of a temporary parking area. As part of a property extension project the front garden area was excavated down to clay and the entrance gateway widened. A heavy duty geotextile membrane was placed and 18tonnes of black limestone levelled and compacted. The use of black limestone kept in keeping with the overall colour scheme of the property in the short term and will also provide a clean MOT material as a sub base when the driveway is lifted and re-laid on completion of the extension.
Herbicide treatment to areas of Japanese Knotweed and Field Horse tail to the rear of a property. This is part of an on-going treatment programme to deal with the knotweed with treatment of FHT and general weeds being undertaken as part of general maintenance work.
